Chin Sovann

April 5, 2015

Hello, this is Sovann, a nurse of Jeremiah’s Hope clinic. I’m so thankful to be a part of the mission with everyone. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I first joined the mission in 2015. I’ve met Mr. James at one church in Phnom Penh, and he introduced me to the mission. I got assigned to the registration department. I’d learnt and seen many things after two days of mission.

To me, it’s sad to see how the poor people in rural area live in a low standard especially in health services. They were complaining all their problems from head to toe to us. Even we couldn’t help all the whole country, at least this helped reminding me that there’re a lot of more people need help.

What’s more, since a part of the mission is to raise the volunteer as serving leaders, building teamwork is one of the important lessons. We’re making new friends and giving each other hand with smiles.

Last but not least, the most inspiring memory for me is, ‘Since Jesus loves us this much, so go and serve people with love from your whole heart’, Mr. James said to us. I do appreciate his heart and other volunteers for humble serving the poor with true love. Surely, how wonderful it is to see people’s being thankful after consultation by physicians, pretty smile after seeing the dentist and clear sight after seeing ophthalmologist. I’m looking forward to volunteering again next year. Thanks, God bless!

I have learnt a lot from this incredible medical mission. Firstly, I’m really grateful for the doctors from different countries. They have committed their valuable time to do free medical service in Cambodia. I was so amazed by their hearts and as I’m Cambodian I should have done more community service to help people who are in needs. Secondly, I have always taught that I were humble enough, after joined the free medical service I could see that I need to be more humble in my daily life.

AHEFW mission is the first mission that I've joined as a volunteer. It's such a great mission that provides free medical, optic and dental services to people at the rural area. In this two serving day, I learned a lot from the doctors and all the volunteers. They worked so hard and showed me that we went there not only to serve but to share and to love. Furthermore, I can see the leadership, friendship, caring as well as the beautiful heart of us. Finally I want to say thanks for allowing me to join.

I felt like this was the 1st time service of my life, I never used to go this kind of Free medical services before, I made many wonderful friends during this medical services. I was shy to make new friends, but I became brave to make new good friends here. And I can’t forget forever Korean doctors who sacrificed their vacation time and money to help our needy people.

AHEFW is a non government organization that helps poor and needy people. I really appreciate to participate with all the volunteers for helping and sharing our love to them in this second mission.  Finally, I would like to say thank u so much to the AHEFW for everything you have done for Cambodian.

It's my honor to be able to join this incredible medical free service. It was such a best opportunity for me to boost my personality such as maturity, self confident and knowledge. The biggest thing that I really appreciate is how much all volunteers gave all of their efforts to make it happen. They were not just giving their time but they served with love from the button of their heart. All doctors came from oversea country just to serve a free medical service for the Cambodia people. This make me how much should I love my people more and more.
